In this section, our Accounting Department has put together some information they feel will help you understand the in's and out's of invoicing, payments, credit checks, paperwork, lease terms and other fun accounting stuff. It may sound boring, but, trust us, there's some good, smart stuff in here that can help answer a lot of questions you might have.

Types of Payment We Accept


Types of payment we accept include:

  • Major Credit Cards, such as Mastercard, Visa, American Express & Discover.

  • Cashier's or Bank-Issued Checks

  • Wire Transfers

  • Business and Personal Checks




Credit Check Process


Like all other furniture rental companies, Fashion Furniture Rental performs credit checks on our customers to ensure that our furniture, electronics and housewares are in good, reputable hands. Furthermore, it also protects people like you who may have had their identities stolen. Over the years we have helped credit card companies and law enforcement agencies capture and prosecute individuals who attempted to rent furniture fraudulently using the identity and credit cards of someone else.

Our credit check is quick and easy. Just fill out our short application, or place an order online and you're done. We'll verify your information with our credit reporting agency and work with you from there. Based on their credit score, some applicants may be asked to furnish a refundable security deposit.

Credit checks are often waived for customers staying at partnered apartment communities, where copies of their recently-run SafeRent credit checks are sent to us.



Billing Cycles & Invoicing


A billing cycle begins the day your furniture is delivered and ends approximately 30 days later. For example, if you receive delivery on the 7th of March, your billing cycle ends on the 6th of April, and the next cycle begins on the 7th of April.

Invoices are generated 10 days prior to the beginning of your next billing cycle and are sent out shortly thereafter. You will receive them anywhere from 5 to 8 days prior to your next billing cycle and, per our NET 5 terms, are due within 5 days of the beginning of this cycle. NET 30 Terms are available for our corporate clients.

If you happen to have a service request during a billing cycle where additional pieces of furniture were delivered or picked up, you may see an irregularity in your invoice if this service was performed in the last 10 days of your billing cycle. This is due to the fact that your invoice had already been generated and mailed to you. Adjustments will show on the following invoice to balance your account.



Credit Card Auto Payments


Completely Home. Completely Easy. Completely Automatic. Sign up for our Auto Charge program to have us deduct your monthly rental rate every month. No need need to worry about late fees and postage stamps. Call or email the billing department for more information.



Security Deposits


Some customers are requested to furnish a fully-refundable security deposit prior to the delivery of furniture. These customers include individuals with credit issues or no credit history as well as international customers who have no credit record from which to reference. Security deposits are held until the rented furniture is returned and inspected for damages not considered general wear-and-tear, or covered by our CPP (if accepted).



Purchase Options


Fashion Furniture Rental is a Rent-to-Rent furniture rental company, rather than a Rent-to-Own rental company. However, we do offer the option to "buy out" the furniture you are renting at the completion of your lease term.

As stated in our Terms and Conditions, after 24 months of rental, customers can purchase their rented furniture for 4 times their monthly rental rate. If you'd like to purchase prior to this 24-month marker, simply call or email your request to billing@fashionfurniture.com and they will provide you with a quote, generally within 48 hours. Buyout quotes take into consideration your monthly rental, your contracted lease term, the amount of time you've leased the furniture, the replacement costs of the furniture as well as the future rental value still associated with furniture in rentable condition.

At the End of Your Lease Term Commitment


Fashion Furniture Rental knows that a lot can happen in the time that you sign a lease and the time you originally intended to have it picked up. That's why, we don't schedule a pick-up until you ask us. When your lease term has been fulfilled and you are still in need of rental furnishings, don't worry, your rental will be billed on a month-to-month basis. You don't even have to call in and tell us, it's automatic. We will continue to rent you furniture at the originally-contracted monthly rate until you call in and request your final pick-up.
